Aksun is a hack-and-slash roguelite with roots in Korean shamanic folklore.
You are trapped within the Casket, a cursed seal created to imprison the will of a fallen cult and their bizarre prophet. Each playthrough delves deeper into the cycle of memory, suffering, and reincarnation, while simultaneously bringing you closer to true mastery.
Dive deeper into the seal of evil.
Death in Aksun is not a simple end, but a ritual. Each victory peels back a layer of truth, and within the Seal of Aksun, a cursed prison born from shattered reincarnations, you must awaken lost weapons, absorb corrupted artifacts, and traverse a world that remembers your every attempt.
3D build system
Aksun's growth system is built on the interplay of three core elements:
Weapons: Divine weapons bound to the Hell God define your fighting style and unlock powerful awakening skills.
Artifact: A crystallized remnant of the cult's ritual, granting attribute effects, installation summons, and active chaos.
Echo: A synergy-based stat scaling system that organically links each build, creating unpredictable combinations.
Mastering the relationships between these three systems is the key to enduring and breaking the cycle.
Conflicting five element attributes
Each artifact belongs to one of the Five Elements: Fire (火), Water (水/Ice), Wind (風), Earth (土), and Thunder (雷). These attributes are powerful on their own, but when combined, true destruction begins.
Fire ignites wind, lightning splits lava, and chain reactions between attributes explode.
New running, new build
Each chapter is a node-based map with a branching structure. Each time you clear a stage, you can choose from the following paths and rewards:
Strengthen your weapon with Resonance
Obtain a new Artifact Chime
Unlock the awakening passive
Collect echoes that make up your stats
You can also purchase upgrades in the High Risk High Reward Shop.
Each time you die, all your builds reset, but each challenge will lead to a better strategy for the next. Each death unlocks smarter and more powerful combinations, evolving your build in unpredictable ways.
A worldview that permeates the play
The entire game unfolds within a distorted echo of the Six Paths of Reincarnation—a closed loop created to punish those who refuse to follow the cycle.
King Mokdugi, once the leader of the sect, is now the most corrupt prisoner in this cycle.
All of Aksun's designs—systems, symbols, structures—are rooted in Korean mythology, rituals, and spiritual beliefs: shamanism, the harmony of the Five Elements, divine punishment, and ancestral memory. This isn't just mythology.
It is a ritual that is engraved in blood.
